Message from DIG Mymensingh Range
Bangladesh Police, Mymensingh
I am delighted to heartily welcome you all to the webpage of Mymensingh Range. At the very outset, I would like to remember with due honour the valiant police martyrs who sacrificed their lives on 25 March 1971 at Rajarbagh. We are the proud successor of that glorious past. Imbued with the spirit of freedom and independence, Bangladesh Police made a paradigm shift from the colonial to democratic policing. We have undertaken different initiative to achieve the goals of democratic policing.
We are striving to deliver a professional and responsive policing service to the people of this Range. Our firm determination is to make this Range a better and safer place to live and work. We believe in the integration of all walks of people to come under the purview of our service.
We are fully committed to respect to the human rights, upholding the rule of law and ensuring a society safe for all to live and work. We are also committed to uphold the image of police and win the trust and confidence of the people by demonstrating our professional standard, integrity and transparency.
Our fervent hope is to build a model Mymensingh Range that reflects the aspirations of the people of this region. Our slogan in the auspicious centenary anniversary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is, “Mujib Year’s commitment, the police will be for the people.”
We continuously strive to foster the relationship between police and people. Community oriented policing is found very effective globally. With the active support of the community, I do believe, we would be able to eradicate narcotics, violent extremism and all sorts of violence against women and children. In order to make a sustainable communication with the community, National Emergency Service 999 has been playing very vital role. Bangladesh police has been providing service to the citizen through online. The online services are online police clearance, BD Police Helpline and online GD (Lost & Found) etc.
Sustainable peace is a prerequisite to sustainable development and vice versa. And sustainable peace requires sustainable security. In order to achieve the vision 2021, SDG 2030 and vision 2041 goals, peace and security are two inevitable conditions. We are looking for your active cooperation to make this Range a safe haven for all ensuring peace and security.
